Arguably Maharashtra’s best wildlife reserve. Tadoba - Andhari is one of the latest additions to the prestigious Project Tiger, making it the third Tiger Reserve of the state after Melghat & Pench. Spread around the serene Tadoba lake, EagleTadoba Andheri tiger reserve located in the Mohurli hills of West Chandrapur District of Maharastra,India. 
With 623 Sq. Km area It is the biggest among all national parks in Maharastra and unique tiger reserves in India one among India’s project tiger reserves. It was established in 1935 and declared a national park in 1955. It has an attractive bio-diversity and is also famous for its each heritage. The name TADOBA is the name of god “Tadoba” or “Taru”, praised by the tribal who live in the dense forest of Tadoba Andheri region, while Andheri is the river that meanders through the forest gives the Andheri name. 

The forest is categorized as southern tropical dry deciduous forest with teak as dominant species. The
 main associates of teak are Ain,Bija,Dhauda, Haldu ,Salai,Semal, Tendu and bamboo. Almost 40% are is Covered with Bamboo. Trees of Jamun, Mango, Arjun are found in the moist area. the beautiful deciduous forests consist of open meadows, undulating hills and some dense patches of bamboo, which is ideal tiger country.
